"Systems of public surveillance cameras, as well as any other systematic invasion of privacy (including medical) are routinely shielded under the auspices of protection afforded the public. In reality, most ongoing efforts to remove privacy from public citizens are advanced by industry and their lobbyists. We now have an administration with undisputed ties to industry that is highly motivated to collect as much information as is legally possible on individuals, while actively weakening the legal protections that exist. This is as dangerous a threat to our freedom as are the acts of terrorism which are used to distract a frightened nation while the safeguards we have are being eroded." -Anonymous
