"I am very troubled by the idea of cameras around the monuments on the Mall. Judging from what I know about the London experience with cameras, I do not think that cameras deter crime or help in law enforcement. As a single woman in DC, I am definitely interested in preventing crime, and in tracking terrorists. But we must find ways to do this that are not as prone to abuse as the cameras. I simply don't want to be filmed when visiting our nation's treasures." -W.L.
